It's pretty cool! The Birthday Express sells them this way but we bought ours at target and just "made" it into a pull string. I cut a hinge into the bottom of the pinata and then stapled curling ribbon onto the sides of the hinge, leaving enough of the staples sticking out to "lock" the hinge back into place. It worked great and the kids loved it.
I hate the traditional pinatas. Someone always gets hurt and the last one I bought had to be sawed open because it wouldn't break.lol

Hmmm....pull the string? This may work better than blasting away with a bat in our house.... I'll have to remember this.
