Whoohoo! I finished the toy room! This was a huge undertaking, especially with a new baby. Moving the littles into Isaac's room and then putting all their toys into Evie's old room took us a little less than 3 weeks. Here are some photos of the new room...

Here is the closet and store.
Here are the new cabinets and desk, not quite finished.
Here is the table and kitchen area.

I arranged all the toys into separate bins, all the kitchen stuff into different zippered bags, and we are going to purchase childlocks for the cabinets and closet so that I can manage the toys without getting the chaos of them dumping all the bins out when no one is watching.lol Now the littles have a really nice area for play. I love order out of chaos!LOL

My next project is to set up the new computer and then get the older kids study area set up. I'm really hoping that I can get this done a little quicker because the older kids have a hard time studying with the littles around them. I REALLY don't know why.lol

Blessings,

Lisa

This is a beautiful room. What a dream room. I'm going to remember this idea. The closest we came to it was when we moved all the kids' dressers into one room and they had a "dressing room" - it was the only way we could fit all the beds in to the tiny rooms in base housing. I miss that house...and BIG yard...

Thank you, De'Etta! I really like having a room for the littles to play in. We have horribly hot weather here during 2/3's of the year and otherwise it'd be all through the house. I wonder how it's going to work when we move Sophia in the room with them.lolol

LOL, it looks great! My dh will do this type of beautiful organizing in our basement. Trevor is threatened with serious bodily injury (lol) and it lasts for a week or so. Then BOOM! a tornado hits the basement, and ya just wanna cry when ya see it!

The room looks wonderful. I don't know how you found the energy to do this but I imagine it is well worth all the work.

Kristine,

He must not use locks.lolol We're buying locks for everything in that room so they have to ASK in order to get a bin or toy.

Thanks Jodi! I feel good and I use my energy whenever the little one lets me. She's been pretty good during the day, now if she'd just sleep, I'd be in great shape.lol

Nice job, Lisa. Three weeks isn't too bad.. .I'm going on 3 months and I'm just about finished with our music room.... I think I must move a lot slower than you (LOL).
