Oh dear, that's awful!!!!!

I hate to tell you though. We don't have fog in London. It never was fog, even in victorian times. It was smog from all those coal fires. We've had lovely clean air since the 1950's.

It's a funny myth that one.

LOL Thanks Dorothy. I did know this, I guess I didn't make myself more clear in the post. I was trying to compare between old London and the horrible smoke that has been blanketing the area for weeks now. I could just see Sherlock Holmes walking through that in the graveyard behind my house, solving the next crime of the century....LOL

Lisa,
EGADS. I didn't know you've been having so many fires and smoke so close to you. How's your breathing?

When we left church in Ocala Wed. evening, we could smell the smoke. It was bothering me and I don't have asthma! It wasn't bad enough to see there. Boy, that must be awful!

I've been hanging in there. Some days have been pretty bad but we are getting a little rain tonight so I'm hoping that it'll be better here this week.

It's been truly horrible and I seriously thought about going down south just to get away from it for a while. I'll be thankful when those fires are out for good!

Oh, the smoke is awful. I'm sure that's what we saw while we were changing planes in Atlanta, although it just looked a little smoggy.

When we had the Hayman fire here in 2002, the smoke was visibly pouring over the mountains. We definitely have to keep the windows closed when we have fires even further away, the smoke is painful to breathe (even without asthma).
