My Menu for this week...
Allison and I have worked off and on this morning making a whole monthly list for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We are going to work on one each week until we have 4 month's worth of lists that we can rotate.
Breakfast
Pancakes
Eggs
Granola bars
Muffins
Eggs
Biscuits and gravy
Frozen pancakes
Lunch
Egg salad sandwiches
PBJ's
Mozzarella and Pepperoni sandwich loaf
fish sticks and chicken nuggets
mac and cheese
ham sandwiches
Larry's Subs
Dinner will have themes for each day of the week... (borrowed from Yvonne)
Monday-(New Recipe Night) Lentil Rice Casserole (from De'Etta's blog)
Tuesday-(Chicken Night) Chicken soup w/dumplings
Wednesday-(Ground beef night) Meatloaf w/mashed potatoes, peas
Thursday-(Grill night or Big Beef night) BBQ Ribs, grilled veggies, baked potatoes
Friday-(Crockpot or Soup night) Stew and biscuits
Saturday-(Pizza night) Pepperoni and cheese pizza, salad
Sunday-(Casserole, bean, or pasta night) Heavenly Chicken, salad
Each meal will have salad, fruit, or smoothies offered.

You are so my hero in this area!! I have just got to make it a priority and do better at meal planning. It must so nice to have an older helper around to work on it all.
Is it hard to actually stick to the menu once you have it planned? Does it feel like life isn't spontaneous? What if you don't feel like eating beef (or chicken or fish)? What if things get busy and you don't have time to make what is on the menu.
what do you do???
