My poor, poor Allison. First she was allergic to metal. We thought she was just allergic to nickel or cheap metals, so we sprung for the "good" earings. Then maybe it was just cheap and anything gold. I can only wear silver so we decided to try that next. Well, that was a big NO. The earings have been left behind and we've been working on different kinds of fabrics and shells for necklaces and such. We knew that she's allergic to elastic in bathing suits, breaks out during the summer if she wears one too many days in a row but FABRIC? Well, for a few weeks now, she's been breaking out and it turns out she's allergic to the fabric necklaces.LOL We've been joking that if she's allergic to the fabric we'll have to dress her in deer skin or fig leaves so if you see someone sporting an outfit from the early 1400's or from early man and woman you'll know you've met my daughter.
Blessings,
Lisa

I'm SO sorry.... it's very difficult for our oldest dd to find pants that she can wear because she's allergic to most of the metals they use for buttons or snaps. We have finally discovered that we can sew extra fabric over the top of them so they don't touch her skin and that helps a little bit.
Yep, they would have lots to talk about. She's gone to mostly buttons. I remember when she was a baby and all they had were those sleepers with metal snaps going all the way down. The first time she wore it, she had little round circle rashes all the way down.lol
Well, if it comes down to deer skin and fig leaves, let's hope you don't post pics!
Seriously, poor Allison. Very frustrating. :(
Ah, but those would be some great pictures..lol
She's hanging in there, it does get frustrating. What's so great about being a girl if you can't wear frilly things? No necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, etc...sad.lol
