The Sophia Chronicles...

Here is the new hat I made today. I went to Michaels and they were having a big sale on their yarn. I picked out a bunch of different colors and will start making things to give for Christmas gifts. This is fun!

I'm getting tempted...these are darling hats. Do you need to know how to knit to make them? Could Arielle and I do these? How do you gauge head sizes of folks who aren't here...hmmm......

Maybe Sohpia is just a cute model and we don't need the hats.

Thanks everyone!

De'Etta,

It's EASY!!! You don't need to know how to knit but it helps if you do. You just wrap the yarn around the pegs twice and the pull the bottom piece over the top piece. There are quite a few patterns online and even Evie is using a small mushroom knitter to knit things. It's a great activity for the kids.

I did have trouble gauging head sizes.LOL The smallest is too small for Sophia. I used the second smallest for hats for my three littles. You just make it longer for the bigger of the three.

The second biggest, I think will be good for women or young adults. I'll have my dh try on one to see if it'll be big enough for him once I've made one that size.

Lisa! Good for you!! This is great! (And Sophia looks beautiful in that pink color, the brown trim is the perfect accent!)

I see someone already asked about non- knitters! The hats look great, you're zipping along so fast the kids could have a different color hat for every day of the week!
