First of all, Allison loved the ballroom dance lesson. She said there were only two men in the whole class so all the ladies were paired together and she felt much better.lol I wouldn't have minded joining the class if I weren't about ready to pop. lol She's planning on going next week if this baby isn't here.

Tonight is confirmation class for the older kids so I'm getting dinner ready early in hopes that the evening chaos that we usually have won't be too much for me to handle by myself.

Here is our menu for this week:

Breakfast

I am doubling each of these and freezing them for while I'm not able to make breakfast.

Waffles
pancakes
french toast
eggs and biscuits (I plan on making sandwiches and wrapping them in plastic wrap)

these are on the menu but won't be doubled for obvious reasons

oatmeal
cheerios

Lunch

sandwiches
chili dogs and mac and cheese
tuna noodle cassarole
PBJ

Dinner

beef noodle veggie soup, bread, salad (the beef is leftover from last week's roast)
Spaghetti, salad
split pea soup, bread
roast chicken, rice, steamed veggies
beef stroganoff, salad
pork chops, rice, salad
chicken soup (made from the leftover roast chicken)

We got our shopping done earlier this morning, glad to have that over.lol We've also spent a large portion of our day outside. It's been so beautiful the past 4 days and I've wanted to take advantage of it before it's gone again. Tomorrow the cold front comes in so I'm glad I didn't waste these days!

Have a wonderful weekend!

The ballroom dancing lessons sound fun. I've thought about that since we go to so many formal things. ugh.

Love to see your menus. I need to come up with some real ones for my side bar this week...or maybe I'll leave last week's up awhile. LOL

It won't be long.....

Allison sounds a little like Holly--she didn't want to take any co-op class that "might" have boys. She ended up dropping the all girl, horse class with the female teacher. She surprised herself by LOVING the photography class--with boys and a male teacher.

You know you're getting close to baby day when you start doubling recipes to save some! Excited for you.

Having made buttermilk pancakes yesterday for the first time, I am deeply impressed by anyone who has the stamina to cook breakfast for their family!

It's very man for himself at breakfast time here. Cold cereal, fruit and toast.

Don't your legs ache after standing there cooking breakfast, Lisa?

Sit down and put your feet up!LOL!

De'Etta,

The dancing does sound fun! I've heard they offer it every year around this time so maybe next year Eric and I will take it.

I'm glad you like my menus! I'm going to post my recipe for beef soup later today.

Kristine,

Allison used to be exactly like that! She's gotten better with age but was a bit nervous about dancing with a man.lol

Jodi,

Yep! I'm working on it right now. I'm hoping to get a bunch of pancakes in the freezer today and some french toast. I can't wait until this baby gets here!

Dorothy,

Well, my little ones don't eat cereal and on days when I don't cook they really won't eat anything. I actually don't stand the whole time. I put the batter on my griddle, sit down, read e-mails and when I see steam, I run over and flip them. When I see steam again I run over and take them off. Not too bad.lol Unless, of course I forget about them and burn them but today there has been no bad ones.lol

Ballroom dancing lessons sound like FUN! We went to our first "ball" last fall and while it wasn't traditional "ballroom" dancing as in 3/4 time and waltzes, it's still what I would call ballroom dancing because it was "formal." Anyway. We had a blast and I NEVER would have guessed in a million years that dh and I would do something like that (LOL).
