This week has been much the same. Lots of driving (I'm beginning to hate the truck.) to and fro. P.E. has ended, we went to the final class Tuesday. (I'm looking forward to some relaxing by the pool next week.) We're hoping to go blueberry picking on Saturday but it's already scorching outside and I'm a heat wimp.LOL If I can get everyone out the door early, we'll go. If not, we'll buy them at the store for a lot more money. (sigh) Has anyone else noticed the huge increase on groceries lately? It's killing me! It's the only part of our budget that I used to be able to control. Well, no more. Looks like I'll working in other parts of our budget. No one will be pleased when we start crossing off the fun stuff just to eat.

In other news, I've been collecting supplies for a family camping trip. My dear MIL gave us money for Christmas for a vacation and we've always wanted to go camping. I think we'll be going soon, we're just trying to find a few more things through garage sales. We just need a two burner propane stove and we'll be set. It should be fun.

Blessings,

Lisa, I always enjoy seeing the kids. They are so cute (well the picture of Evie isn't quite cute. LOL)

Oh how FUN camping will be. I wish you lived near enough to inherit our camping stuff.

The stick to your table, smore looks are hilarious.

Lisa, Do you have a freecycle online community where you live? It is a great way to find / offer things that you may need that others were just going to throw away some day. I always see camping gear on ours. freecycle.org (in case you don't know what it is, it is a way of trying to recycle items instead of them heading to the dump when they are still in usable condition but unwanted...basically a "green" garage sale, but free! :)

We too have noticed the huge increase in grocery prices. I'm re-thinking the things I make for meals now. I know we will have to cut out most of the fun stuff too. The kids won't be impressed but what can you do. The prices are rising at an alarming rate.

Cute photos, as always VBG!

As always, great photos of your kids!

I've noticed prices at our little Tinytown grocery store are about double what they are in WMart(not my fave place to shop) We love our little store, but $5.00 Oreos?!?

Thanks!

We can't wait to camp. The guys have been on a couple of trips but I've been holding out for all the supplies.

I'm going to try Freecycle, thanks, Deanne!

Jodi,

The grocery prices are terrible! I can't believe that between gas and food, our budget is nil.

Boy, you aren't kidding about food prices. Everything is rising in cost.... weekly, it seems. I bake bread on the side and my wheat berry prices have increased 156% in the last 8 months. I finally had to raise my prices to cover it since it got to where I was basically doing "volunteer" bread. sigh
