Sophia Rides...

I never uploaded this video. Sophia learned how to ride her two wheel bike in September. I can't believe that my three year old can ride a bike!

We found you in the garden today, fat and happy.
Photobucket

Sophia fell instantly in love and named you Really Jon.

She's carried you around all day, expecting me to take many photos of you.

How will I ever get you back?

You are destined for pickling.

That's Mommas....

Since Jon never updates his blog, I'm going to share something between him and Sophia.

Today, Jon was using his calculator at the kitchen table finishing up some science experiments, when Sophia comes over to him and says, "That's Mommas!" He very kindly says, "No, this is my calculator. See? It has a "J" on it."

Sophia says, "That's Mommas!"
Jon says, "No, it's mine."
S says, "That's Mommas!"
J says, "No, it's mine."
S says, "That's Mommas!"
J says, (while secretly slipping the calculator into his side pocket)"No, it's mine."
S says, "That's Mommas!"

Jon says, "What's Mommas?"
Sophia looks to one side of Jon, then the other. Then she says, "I don't know." and walks off.

Very clever, Jon!

Blessings,

Lisa

The Sophia Chroncles...

Photobucket

Dear Sophia,

I miss how you always wanted me to hold your little hand when you nursed. It had to be just so, with my hand cupping yours. I miss how your curly red hair would tickle my arm as I held you close. I miss looking into your little brown eyes and listening to your contented little coos as you would drift off to sleep.

Photobucket

Once again, you've surprised me. I think, surely you're too little to give up nursing. You can't possibly be ready to potty train. Brush your own teeth? No way!

Photobucket

You're my little one. My baby.

Photobucket

Aren't you?

Photobucket

Somewhere, along the way, you've decided to grow up on me. My amazing little one, I can no longer deny it, you're no longer my baby. You're my big, wonderful, beautiful big girl and I love you.

Goodbye sweet baby. Hello big girl Sophia.

The Sophia Chronicles

How do babies go cross-eyed?

Well, I guess they can't. She tried though. LOL!

(Allison was making faces at her and went cross-eyed. Sophia thought it was so funny and tried to copy her throughout dinner and dessert. )

I think Sophia gets more fun with each passing day.

The Sophia Chronicles...

We were making Allison's birthday treat and when our backs were turned, we found this...

Photobucket

(Good job watching her Jon...lol) Allison requested Death By Chocolate from De'Etta's blog for her birthday treat. She never picks something easy, like, I don't know, maybe CAKE?! No, always the difficult one.LOL

Sophia's a cutie, that's for sure...

The Sophia Chronicles...

Photobucket

Today, Sophia has decided that she'd like to potty train herself. She's seen many a person sitting on the potty, and not one to be left out, started sitting on the potty at regular intervals throughout the day today and right before bed last night. The only problem? She's not to be trusted!!!! Sure, she's looks innocent enough, but when you turn your back, she's sticking toys in the potty, or herself in the potty. Where is she now? In the tub, because she stuck her foot in the potty.

I have spent almost the WHOLE day standing in the bathroom.

*AND*

I didn't even get to go.

The Sophia Chronicles...

On Saturday, I made this for Sophia...
Photobucket

As you can see, she was a reluctant model...lol
Photobucket

I noticed that her last skirt was a bit long so this time I halved the length and it was perfect. I'll need to make a shirt for it next. She doesn't have anything that matches.lol

The Sophia Chronicles...

My little one is growing up too fast. Just look at her! I know that photos are hard to judge but this little one is almost 40 pounds and just a few inches shy of Isaac's height. Here she is solving the Rubic's cube....
Photobucket

Wow, she's fast!LOL
Photobucket

When Sophia was brand new, I used to wrap her up in my brand new bathrobe to keep her warm. The year she was born, we were soooo cold and my robe was the only thing that would warm her up. After a few short weeks, she couldn't sleep without it. Now, it's her very best friend. We keep trying to replace it, but no such luck.lol
Photobucket

Here she is squashing her brother. Poor guy...lol
Photobucket

Luckily, her Daddy knows how to wrangle this little critter...
Photobucket

My little one will be 2 next month. I just can't believe how fast this time has gone. I'm thankful for all of God's blessings in my life. Especially, the little ones.

Here's a big sister looking after her...
Photobucket

So cute!
Photobucket

Here are the goofy siblings, hamming it up...
Photobucket

Strike a pose you two...
Photobucket

Sophia is a delight and joy to have around. She makes us so happy! She's is so confident and strong. I don't think I've ever had a child so coordinated!
